If you haven’t guessed yet by my name, yes, I’m a girl. My love for all things geek and nerdy runs deep, but I’m able to maintain a healthy balance between that and “being normal”. From comics to full novels. From board games to MMORPG. From old school shows to the new re-incarnations. From costumed theme parties to huge conventions where everyone’s in costume. I embrace it all.
I do try to keep this blog as anonymous as possible. I’m forever on a quest to find the “hook” to this site, and having fun along the way. I love spreading my affinity of these things with other like minded people, which leads to the showcases and the charity notes, amongst other things.
I’m not a very political person. I have a rather hippy disposition. I’m like Switzerland. Sure, the disagreements are out there, but peoples’ minds are not easily changed, so I’d rather not waste precious breath on it. Besides, all you need is love… and friends… and an ice cold beverage of choice.
I enjoy meeting new people and friends, and I love listening to people. There are awesome stories out there. Oddly enough, despite my love of the sci-fi/fantasy genre and have some favorite actors, I don’t get giddy around people that have been on shows. I think I am more of a “Hey, can I buy you a pint?” person.
I’m a rover of the Los Angeles suburbs, but definitely a Ventura County beach girl at heart. I believe it’s important to keep a sense of wonder and magic alive in everyday life.
Neato things about my life: Skated with the LA Derby Dolls as Xanadont; a frequent patron to the archery range; Irish dancer and taker-carer of www.ceiliandcraic.com; play a bit of World of Warcraft; have been going to the Star Trek Las Vegas Convention for quite a few years; attend the So Cal Renaissance Faire; love the Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball; decent woodburner/glass etcher/general craftsgal; plus more!
